Mortal Kombat

Mortal Kombat, released on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), quickly became a phenomenon, captivating players with its unique blend of martial arts action and a distinctive, darker aesthetic. Unlike other fighting games of its era, Mortal Kombat utilized digitized actors for its character sprites, giving the game a remarkably lifelike appearance that stood out from traditional pixel art. This innovative approach to graphics, combined with fluid combat mechanics, made Mortal Kombat an instant classic and a must-play title for SNES owners.
